Almond Festival Fun Run - Saturday, March 10th 2012
Esparto Unified School District will be hosting an Almond Festival 10K Fun Run. All proceeds benefit Esparto Unified School District extracurricular programs. Participants should arrive at 7:00 am, race starts at 8:00 am. This 10K fun run will take you through some beautiful country roads with some hills and flat surfaces. Fastest Little Nut Diaper Derby
This year the Esparto Regional Chamber of Commerce will have its first Diaper Derby crowning the winner the Almond Festival Fastest Little Nut. Crawlers need to be under the age of 12months on March 11th to be eligible. The entry fee is $5, for more information; click here for entry form and rules.
Almond Baking Contest
Show off your baking skills and enter the Almond Baking Contest. The Esparto Regional Chamber is looking for the best bakers and candy makers. Submit your favorite Almond Cookie Recipe or Almond Candy Recipe and let the judges savor your talent. The winner will be announced on the Main Stage in the Esparto Park on March 11th during the Festival. Esparto will host vendors, crafters & artisans, Friends of the Library annual book sale, non-profit organizations with informational booths, FFA breakfast, food vendors, wine, beer & margarita garden, live music, agricultural education and equipment, festival rides, climbable hay pyramid, children’s activities, health screenings and much more.
Ericka Davis & the Kiss 'N Tell Band
The Esparto Regional Chamber of Commerce will be sponsoring the local band,Ericka Davis & The Kiss 'N Tell Band. The band will be playing in the Esparto Community Park, at the Almond Festival beginning at 11:00 am on Sunday, March 11th on the Main Stage in the Esparto Park. Kiss 'N Tell is a high energy dance rock band that features Ericka Davis on lead vocals. Along with original music the band plays all the fun cover music everyone loves... from playing today's fun pop and rock music then we throw in funk, disco, classic rock, and lots of 80's.
