2014 ALMOND FESTIVAL - Guinda
The 98th Annual Almond Queen Pageant will take place at the historic Western Yolo Grange Hall in Guinda. The pageant will begin at the conclusion of the dinner. The Rumsey Improvement Association sponsors the Almond Queen Pageant. The Queen is selected on her ability to conduct herself in front of a crowd through a series of speeches and also private interviews. Each young lady is put to the test as she experiences the difficulty of presenting in front of family, friends and peers. The Queen pageant is a very important passage for many young girls and creates a sense of accomplishment for all those who run.
