Rumsey Hall Art Show and Slideshow

Historic Rumsey Hall will feature painting and sculptures from the valley’s award winning artists. Rumsey Town Hall Slideshow – see how the old town hall was repaired and renovated by a group of dedicated valley-ites! There is viewing of the Historic Opera House Stage Curtains - so come up for a taste of history and see the original painted curtains from the Hall. Enjoy a fun hayride around the old town of Rumsey and over the historic Rumsey bridge! All is sponsored by the Rumsey Improvement Association.

 

Children's Area

Bring the kids!  There will be lots of hands on activities for children of all ages.  Enjoy a hayride around Old Town and across historic Rumsey Bridge. Grind your own grain and much more!
Come see how the almond harvest happens. This demo will include all the equipment from shaking the nuts from the trees to sweeping them up from the ground. Demos will happen from 9am –4pm. Sheep to Shawl Demonstration – watch as the experts spin wool from the sheep into a woven shawl!

 

Silent Auction

Come place your bids on an amazing array of gift baskets, plants and “experiences” that will be auctioned off in the hall.  Don’t miss out on the chance to win a dinner for eight at a local farm.


Food

Homemade Baked Goods and Café Almond Mochas for sale in the historic Rumsey Hall from 9am –5pm!
Local Sausage Sandwiches- will be served all day - local salad, local beans, beer and desserts.
Wood-fired Pizza Oven –
The fire will be hot in the beautiful wood-fired pizza oven serving breakfast and savory pizzas using local ingredients! Come early for the soon to be famous breakfast pizza! 9:30am -3pm 
 

Music and Dancing

Dance to the Music of the Heel Draggers providing great foot stomping bluegrass music!!

Equipment Show
Come see how the Almond Harvest happens. This show will include all the equipment of shaking the nuts from the trees to sweeping up from the ground. Tractors and equipment show and historical story telling from old timers will happen from 9am –5pm.

Craft Vendor and Farmers Market booths
Some of the valley’s finest crafters and farmers will be on hand to sell their delicious and beautiful wares! The booths will feature beautiful lavender products, hand decorated gourds, Capay valley olive oil, Capay valley honey, almonds, walnuts, jams, jellies, quilts, hand embroidered items, plants, dried fruit and more! Almonds will be showcased! Watch as the experts spin wool from the sheep into a woven shawl!
